For Sam Matulevich, founder of STM Contracting, home improvement has always been a passion. Although in his birth country of Belarus he graduated with a university degree in linguistics, and today is fluent in several languages, Sam eventually came to realize that helping people beautify their homes was his passion, and the path he was truly meant to follow.

After arriving in the US, he spent the next several years working for a number of large home improvement companies, building on his knowledge of every facet of the home improvement business, including time-honored building and construction techniques and best customer-service practices. After striking out on his own as a sole proprietor 17 years ago, he went on to establish STM Contracting LLC in 2007, specializing in exterior home improvements and remodeling, and also building garages and other additions as well as performing bathroom, kitchen and basement remodels.

Sam continues to find great pleasure and satisfaction each day in building long-term relationships with his many happy customers. As a perfectionist with a laser-focus on detail, he understands how important it is to have great communication with the homeowners he works with. He takes the time to ask plenty of questions, ensuring that every possible benefit, option and obstacle has been considered on each project.
And when the opportunity arises, he still calls on his knowledge of languages, communicating just as clearly with his clients who speak Russian, Polish or German, as he helps them identify and execute plans for improvements in their homes.
